TOXIC TORT. We offer extensive trial experience in toxic tort cases involving asbestos, silica, benzene, vinyl chloride, talc, and chemical exposures. Our team has obtained defense verdicts on behalf of manufacturers, distributors and premises owners in the mesothelioma and cancer cases in several jurisdictions, including New Jersey, New York, California and Maryland.
MASS TORT. Within this practice area, we specialize in personal injury and property damage mass claims. We have successfully defended claims relating to exposures to chemicals, over the counter medications, large fires, explosions, and other catastrophes as well as exposures to hazardous substances. For example, our team has represented a public utility in one of the largest fire damage cases in the United States as well as a pipeline operating in connection with a major pipeline explosion. We have also represented chemical manufacturers in mass tort cases filed by work site employees, drug manufacturers for claims filed by consumers, and petroleum manufactures in matters seeking damages for personal injury and diminution of property value.
CLASS ACTIONS. We have successfully defended and defeated class actions asserted against chemical manufacturers, drug manufacturers and insurance providers.
