Biography:
Mr. Badolato served as Law Secretary to the Honorable James R. Giuliano, Assignment Judge, Essex County, from 1965 to 1966.
He is the author of several articles, including Rule Changes & Trial Technique Modifications, published in the New Jersey Lawyer (Spring, 1983) and was Articles Editor of Practical Approaches to the Rules of Evidence, also published in that magazine (Spring, 1986).
He served as Chairman of the Supreme Court's Ethics Committee, District V, New Jersey from 1982 - 1983. Mr. Badolato currently serves on several Supreme Court Committees and he is Vice Chair of the Advisory Committee on Professional Ethics. He is the past Chair of the Supreme Court Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee and Committee on Paralegal Ethics.
Mr. Badolato held the position of President, Fairfield, New Jersey Area Club, and serves as President of that group's Advisory Committee.
He is a Member of the Essex County, Union County, Middlesex County, New Jersey State and American Bar Associations, holding positions with the Essex County Bar as Secretary, Vice President, President (1977-1978), and Trustee.
For the New Jersey State Bar Association, Mr. Badolato has served as President 2002 - 2003 and President Elect, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. He has also been a Trustee of the Association, Chairman of its Ethics Oversight Committee, Chairman of the Interbar Relations Committee, a Member of the Program Committee, Civil Trial Bar Section, the Alternatives Dispute Resolution Committee, and the Civil Trial Certification Committee. He also served as an Officer of the Association's Civil Trial Bar Section. He is the current Chair of the Supreme Court's Commission on Professionalism in New Jersey. Mr. Badolato is a member of the Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointment Committee (2006-09).
On behalf of the ABA, Mr. Badolato is a past Member of the House of Delegates and a Member of the Standing Committee on Dispute Resolution. He currently is a Member of the Standing Committee on Constitution and By-Laws and the Litigation Section of the ABA. He serves as a Member of the National Conference of Bar Presidents Executive Committee and is a Member of the Membership and Program Committees.
Mr. Badolato has served as a Trustee of the New Jersey Association of Trial Lawyers and is a member of the International Society of Barristers, Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, the International Society of Defense Counsel, and the American Board of Trial Advocates (Diplomate). He is the State Chairman of the Fellows of the American Bar Association and is a sustaining Member.
The Supreme Court of New Jersey,
Board of Trial Attorney Certification, has designated Mr. Badolato a Certified Civil Trial Attorney.
