Biography:
Mr. McAuley joined Connell Foley in 1982.  A distinguished member of our Real Estate and Land Use and Business Litigation practice groups, he is also recognized for his expertise in environmental and corporate law.

Mr. McAuley was born in East Orange, New Jersey in 1952.  During his distinguished college career, he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa.  Prior to his admission to the bar, Mr. McAuley served as Law Clerk to Chief Justice Richard J. Hughes of the Supreme Court of New Jersey (1977).  He also clerked for the Honorable George P. Helfrich, J.S.C. (1978).

From 1987 until 1992, Mr. McAuley served as Secretary of the Supreme Court of New Jersey District V-C Ethics Committee.  He is a member of the New Jersey State and Essex County Bar Associations, and a former member of the New Jersey Task Force on the Disciplinary System.  Mr. McAuley is also a member of the American Bar Association, and serves on its Committee on Condemnation, Zoning and Land Use Litigation.  Mr. McAuley now serves as President and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Beacon Hill Club in Summit, New Jersey.
