MasterCard Worldwide Publishes Pizzi Podcast on Non-Compete Agreements

Roseland, NJ, February 25, 2008 MasterCard Worldwide sought Peter J. Pizzi's expertise in employment litigation for its article entitled "Avert Legal Battles With a Former Employer in Your Industry."  The article, published in MasterCard's Business Essentials Library, addresses the best strategies for employees leaving a current employer to start a new venture within the same industry.  Pizzi provided guidance on the potential legal pitfalls to consider, particularly when non-compete and non-solicitation restrictive covenants have been executed.

Mr. Pizzi handles a wide variety of business litigation matters at Connell Foley, including restrictive covenant and trade secret litigation, employment matters, and securities litigation.  He is Chair of the firm's Internet and Information Technology practice, and co-chair of its Intellectual Property practice group. 

As a member of the New York State Bar Association, Mr. Pizzi sits as Co-Chair of the Commercial & Federal Litigation Section’s Internet and Intellecutal Property Litigation Committee.  He also serves as Co-Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Internet and Computer Law Committee.
