Connell Foley Volunteers Renovate Two Jersey City Buildings
for “Women Rising” Organization

Continuing its rich tradition of supporting local charitable organizations, more than 40 volunteers from Connell Foley LLP, a Roseland-headquartered law firm, recently participated in a renovation project at two “Women Rising” facilities in Jersey City, New Jersey.
The renovations, which took place on March 29, 2008, included work at the historic former YWCA building on Fairmont Avenue.
The renovation work is part of a program called Rebuilding Together/Christmas in April that Connell Foley participates in each year. The organizers of Rebuilding Together/ Christmas in April assemble volunteers from its ranks, as well as from local civic groups, and recruit sponsors, evaluate possible renovation sites and train the volunteers for these renovation projects.

“Women Rising, Inc.,” is a community-based organization governed and managed by women. Its purpose is to help women and their families achieve self-sufficiency and live safe, fulfilling and productive lives through social services, economic development and advocacy services.
