Liza M. Walsh maintains a practice
focused on federal litigation and,
in particular, antitrust and
intellectual property
litigation. She joined Connell Foley
in 1986 and was promoted to partner
after only five years – an
achievement based largely on her
talent as an attorney and her
dynamic leadership skills. Ms. Walsh
has continued to exhibit these
talents since being named partner,
distinguishing herself both as a
skilled litigator and as a leader
and role model.
Ms. Walsh’s success as a litigator
has earned her a reputation as a
fierce advocate on her clients’
behalf. She represents some of the
country’s largest and most
prestigious companies.
Currently, in her capacity as
Counsel to the Special Master, Ms.
Walsh is involved in the enforcement
of the largest court-ordered
environmental cleanup in the
country. She is also currently
involved in defending several
actions brought as class actions on
behalf of health insurers, title
insurance companies, toy retailers,
and pet food distribution companies.
While maintaining a busy practice,
Ms. Walsh also serves as Chair of
Connell Foley’s Finance Committee
and is a Member of both the
Management and Executive
Committees. Additionally, Ms. Walsh
served as a member of the Hiring
Committee for fifteen years. Ms.
Walsh has been named one of the
‘Best Lawyers in America’ in 2007,
2008 and 2009 and was
also chosen by
NJBiz Magazine as one of "New
Jersey's Best 50 Women in Business."
Following law school, Ms. Walsh
served as Law Clerk for the
Honorable Clarkson S. Fisher, Chief
Judge of the United States District
Court for the District of New Jersey
from 1985-1986 and from 1984-1985
she served as Law Clerk to the
Honorable Charles Harrington, New
