Karen Painter Randall joined Connell Foley in 1986 as an associate and was elected to partner in 1992. She currently focuses her practice on Business Litigation; Construction Law; Director & Officer Litigation; Insurance Law; Product Liability and Tort Law; and Professional Liability. Ms. Randall is a veteran trial attorney in both state and federal courts and serves as Chair of the Defense Division of the firm’s Director & Officer Litigation practice group. She is also Co-Chair of the Professional Liability and Tort Law Practice Groups.

 

Ms. Randall is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) where the ABA leadership appointed her as Co-Chair of the Professional Liability, Director and Officer and Emerging Issues Committees over the last eight years. Ms. Randall is a leader in the New Jersey State Bar Association where she is Vice Chair of the Insurance Benefits Committee and a member of both the Malpractice Insurance and Election Law Committees. As a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, she was appointed to the prestigious Judicial Performance Committee.

 

She is Chair of the Professional Liability Practice Group Leadership Committee at USLAW NETWORK. USLAW is a national organization of 61 highly-rated, independent law firms in 45 states with over 3,500 attorneys who are fully vetted and have become part of the network by invitation only.

 

The Supreme Court of New Jersey, Board of Trial Attorney Certification designated Ms. Randall as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney in 1992. She was re-certified in 1999 and 2006. In 2005, she was selected by New Jersey Law Journal as a Prominent Leader Among Women and Minority Attorneys in New Jersey. Ms. Randall was also selected for membership in NJ300, an exclusive professional network that provides the state’s top women executives with various cross-industry networking opportunities.

 

Ms. Randall has lectured and written extensively on professional liability and director and officer issues ranging from risk management to defense and coverage issues. During her 22 years of practice, Ms. Randall has demonstrated dedication to adhering to the highest standards of the legal profession and business community.
