Since joining Connell Foley in 2003,
Owen McCarthy has represented
insurance companies and their
clients in tort-based liability
claims and contractual claims in the
Superior Court of New Jersey and in
various arbitration forums. He has
tried over twenty-five cases to
verdict and
was designated by The Board of Trial
Attorney Certification of the
Supreme Court of New Jersey as a
Certified Civil Trial Attorney in
2008.
Prior to joining Connell Foley, Mr.
McCarthy worked as an associate at
another New Jersey law firm and
served as Judicial Law Clerk to the
Honorable Peter F. Boggia, J.S.C. in
the Superior Court of New Jersey,
Bergen Vicinage.
During law school, Mr. McCarthy was
a member of the Seton Hall
Legislative Journal. He is a
Certified Mediator designated by the
State of New Jersey and has
previously served on the Executive
Committee of the New Jersey State
Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s
Division as a Councilman and Deputy
Mayor for the Borough of Fair Lawn,
Bergen County, and as a Commissioner
and Treasurer for the Bergen County
Housing Authority.
