Richard J. Badolato focuses his practice on Product Liability and Tort Law and Insurance Law.

For the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), Mr. Badolato served as President from 2002–2003 and as Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. He was also a Trustee of the NJSBA, Chairman of its Ethics Oversight Committee, Chairman of the Interbar Relations Committee, Member of the Program Committee, Civil Trial Bar Section, the Alternatives Dispute Resolution Committee, and the Civil Trial Certification Committee. He also served as an Officer of the NJSBA’s Civil Trial Bar Section.

Mr. Badolato has held positions as President (1977–78), Vice President, Secretary, and Trustee of the Essex County Bar Association.  On behalf of the American Bar Association (ABA), Mr. Badolato is a past Member of the House of Delegates and a Member of the Standing Committee on Dispute Resolution. He is currently a Member of the ABA’s Standing Committee on Constitution and By-Laws and its Litigation Section. He serves as a Member of the National Conference of Bar Presidents Executive Committee and is a Member of the Membership and Program Committees. He is the State Chairman of the Fellows of the ABA and is a sustaining Member.

The Supreme Court of New Jersey, Board of Trial Attorney Certification, has designated Mr. Badolato a Certified Civil Trial Attorney.

Mr. Badolato served as Law Secretary to the Honorable James R. Giuliano, Assignment Judge, Essex County, from 1965 to 1966.
